Our Luxury Safari in Tanzania

Our experience and a Q & A Experience

Brock and I almost never splurge on vacations. We travel so much, that if we did splurge during our travels, our lifestyle wouldn’t be sustainable.

Two years ago, we were ready to sign up for a safari. Over fear of money, I talked us out of the idea. Instead, I convinced Brock to go to countries where we’d save money.

& I am glad that we waited.

This unforgettable trip was an absolute dream come true.

When I say that this was the best trip that Brock & I have ever been on, I mean it. Our safari guides & our accommodations went out of their way to make our trip.

Our Tour Company

We had an unforgettable 7 nights with Earthlife Expeditions.  Our tour guide, Joseph, made our trip. He was fun, helpful, full of jokes, and knew so much about the animals & their habits. Thanks to Joe, we saw a stunning sunrise in Tarangire National Park & he tracked down The Big 5!

Although we did a Luxury Safari, they offer many different options for different budgets & group size.

If you book with Earthlife, request Joseph as your tour guide!

The National Parks

Our tour guide was phenomenal. Once we booked our package with them, they did the rest for us. They figured out food, lodging logistics, and booked our parks for us.

Tanzania has 16 National Parks, I read somewhere that the majority of the country falls into a National Park! We visited Tarangire National ParkLake Manyara National Park, & Serengeti National Park.

Our Luxury Safari in Tanzania Q & A

How did you find the right flight?
This one was tricky. I was flying from Finland & Brock was flying from Minnesota. We used our miles, scored a first class flight, & met in the Amsterdam Airport. We flew KLM, and they were FABULOUS.

They went above & beyond to make sure that we had a great honeymoon / birthday flight!

How did you find the right guides?
We started our search on Safari Booking. They have 1,336 operators throughout the continent of Africa. We were overwhelmed & didn’t know which companies to trust… As Amazon sellers, we rarely trust reviews due to how easy they are to fake.

Eventually, I searched “Safari Tanzania” in the Facebook Group “Girls Love Travel” and read through several threads. Earthlife Expeditions was mentioned several times with one other company. We emailed both companies & received a thoughtful & in-depth response from Earthlife & chose to go with them!

Take it from me, go with Earthlife!

Did you feel safe?
Absolutely! Every step of the way, our guides were there for us.

Animal wise: Yes! We were able to get up close to animals, who always ignored us. In fact, our jeep was under two lioness’ who were so focused on their prey, that they didn’t even notice we were a quick jump below!

People wise: We only spent a handful of hours in a city. Most of our time was spent in either a national park or our hotel. When we did venture out in the city, we experienced people who were either super friendly or hard at work and didn’t pay much attention to us.

This trip was apart of our Honeymoon Fund. Thank you to Cody McGregor for helping us make our dream of going on a safari a reality. <3

Thanks for taking the time to read this piece. Tanzania is an absolutely incredible country… It’s beautiful, safe, & full of friendly people and wildlife. I promise, you will not regret coming to Tanzania, you will only regret NOT coming to Tanzania.
